On this day 3 year ago, I made the giant leap back to the city from a brief stay in Milton for loving support, rest and recovery. It had only been one month post surgery to remove my second breast. I found a beautiful apartment in our old neighbourhood and Noemi was returning to her old school.

I had no job yet, was still going for oncology check-ups every 3 months, and I worried that lymphedema would severely limit me in returning to what I loved to do most (fitness/wellness/yoga and acting). People thought this was crazy (so did I… I had so many fears but… I needed to do it)!

Still somehow… I just knew it would work out. This was the moment I took my life back and found that sense of Aliveness, of Purpose, of Hope and of being grounded and home again. I have many people to thank for helping Noemi and I to find comfort, support and our own groove again.

Already in the short span of 3 years, I have seen many dreams manifest into reality. I have a strong sense that this is only just the beginning 🙂. That feeling of gratitude for being alive has only gotten stronger. My hope is to inspire others and keep working on making this world a better place.Sylvie Normandeau-3
